Employment: Full Time

For our new office in the UAE, we are recruiting for an Account Set Up Assistant to oversee the process of account opening for financial clients.

The job holder will be part of a team ensuring the smooth running of client on boarding, using a variety IG proprietary trading systems, CRM databases, Microsoft Excel and Access as part of their daily routine.

The job holder will be required to resolve queries and to make system/control improvements.

This role offers good opportunities to develop in other areas of the wider operations team and to build strong relationships with sales, compliance and other operational departments.

The job holder will have the following responsibilities:
- Liaising with the sales teams, together with introducing brokers and foreign offices, in order to gather all relevant information and documentation to open new accounts
- Being the point of contact for all account setup queries resulting in regular contact with other departments in IG
- Performing daily, weekly and monthly administrative checks to ensure all accounts are set up in accordance with in house procedures and DFSA Regulations
- Setting up Power of Attorney agreements
- Generating account opening letters for new clients
- Answering queries and assisting with disputes - Dealing with IB queries both on the phone or via email
- Maintaining procedure manuals and other documentation
- Liaising outside of the department with colleagues to build a strong relationship with other departments
- Procedural and technological changes in the team are fast moving, with constant yet practical deadlines to meet and ever-changing regulations and procedure

Requirements

- Educated to a degree level
- At least 12 months working experience within an administrative and customer service related role
- Attention to detail; meeting regular deadlines; taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Strong team ethos
- Proactive attitude in researching and resolving problems/issues
- Challenging mind-set
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work on your own but also demonstrate individual initiative
- Fluent in Arabic
- Fluent in English
- Microsoft Excel skills (Intermediate/Advanced level)
- Familiarity with acceptable due diligence documents from the GCC region required to open an account
- Showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions with a logical and analytical approach
- Challenging mind-set, uses training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement
- Excellent administration and communication skills at all levels of the organisation both in writing and orally
- Ability to cope well under pressure and adapt quickly to the ever changing environment
