Job description / Role

Shared Services Finance is a department under Group Finance handling the entire back office related to accounting and auditing for Electronics, Engineering & Technologies and the Head Office Companies. SSF handles Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger Accounting, Bank Reconciliations, monthly and annual closing and audits for the above mentioned groups.

Reporting to Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible to maintain the General Ledger of various entities and highlight areas of aberrance to minimise risks.

Ensuring timely and accurate completion of Financial Statements, both entity-wise & consolidated, is the most important KPI for this role.

Key job responsibilities will include:

* Review and post accounting entries to close the books accurately every month.
* Prepare reconciliation schedules to maintain the integrity of Balance Sheet. Highlight areas of concern and risks.
* Work with a team of accountants in compilation of Financial Statements.
* Prepare Financial Statements for each entity and consolidated Financial Statements.
* Liaise with Auditors and drive timely completion of Audit.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you must have the following skills and experiences:

* Strong knowledge of IAS & IFRS
* Hands on experience in preparation of Financial Statements for a Group of Companies & liaison with Auditors.
* Passion to adhere to deadlines
* Ability to handle work pressure and work as an influential team member
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred
* Languages: Fluent English - Arabic is an advantage
