Accountant - Al Futtaim Engineering - Jeddah - KSA

Al-Futtaim Engineering fully serves the needs and requirements of the construction industry and its involvement in numerous large-scale projects in the region has given the company an enormous wealth of experience.

As an Accountant you are expected to manage the commercial and financial elements of projects from contract signature to final handover and deliver punctual budget control and profit levels including and not limited to: Project Costing, Contractual Issues, variations and valuations, detailed design, quality assurance, claim management and customer satisfaction

The duties of the Accountant will include:

- Analysing unit rates to determine corrective actions to minimise project losses.
- Developing, monitoring, maintaining status reports and taking action to avoid a decline in the tender mark-up.
- Assisting in the preparation of tenders where a good working knowledge of construction, market rates and methods is required.
- Supervising the preparation of all outgoing estimates and variations, ensure that cost reports and applications are submitted monthly.
- Ensuring the monthly financial forecast for each contract is correct and completed on time.
- Producing monthly profit forecasts as per the actual turnover and margin figures.
- Ensuring that contracts and claims correspondence is submitted on time and to a very good standard.
- Ensuring synchronisation between the different company department and the commercial department such as finance, quantity surveying and procurement.
- Maximizing the profitability of all contracts.
- Overseeing the development of Quarterly and Monthly project financial reports and presentations in coordination with the financial reporting function.
- Reviewing investment proposals and conduct financial due diligence and prepare summary presentations for review.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, the following are the prerequisites:

- Saudi Nations preferred.
- Non Saudi applicants must have transferable Visa in KSA.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business.
- 5 plus years of experience as an Accountant in an Engineering industry.
- Experience in contracts, procurement, negotiating of commercial & legal and dispute resolution.
