Accountant – DOMASCO

Job description / Role

Doha Marketing Services Company W.L.L. (DOMASCO), an overseas joint venture of the reputable UAE-based Al Futtaim Group, has been operating business in Qatar for 18 years and has sole distribution Honda, Volvo cars and trucks, reputed brands of watches and electronics such as Raymond Weil, Casio, Sanyo, Aftron and Godrej in the country.

To ensure payment by Cash, Cheques, Credit/debit Card and direct bank transfer are properly recorded and processed in accordance with Al Futtaim Group policies and procedures. Ensure that all transactions are update and maintained accurately and quickly within the accounts receivable module of the accounting system (SAP). Ensure customer accounts are up to date and management and sales team has the latest receivables information. Ensure Petty cash management. Main Responsibilities of the role:

* Account for all receipts received, cash, CDC / PDC, bank transfers credit/debit card, updating all transactions accurately and quickly within the customer accounts in SAP.
* Account for all the bounce cheques received and update the same in SAP
* Ensure timely deposit of cash and cheque in the bank on daily basis.
* Ensure cash and cheque control account are reconciled with physical cash and cheque on daily basis.
* Prepare daily cash collection report. Submit reports of cheque deposited and PDC in hand.
* Ensure safe keeping of PDC/Guarantee/Security Cheques and release them after appropriate approval.
* Prepare accounts receivable reports for management.
* Provide support to sales department for taking new approvals by providing them with the outstanding balance in customer account.
* Answer all customers queries related to payments and outstanding balances.
* The role will interact with internal and external customers both face to face and via email / telephone to answer queries and update the customer with details of their outstanding.
* Ensure that the files submitted from the sales department have all the mandatory papers and that they are submitted in time.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Graduate degree in accounting / finance
* 5 years' experience in accountant role.
* Analytical and diligent with an attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proactive, hardworking and self-motivated.
* Good in English Speaking and Writing
* Strong understanding of excel and accounting systems (SAP would be advantageous)
* Self-starter with a drive to succeed.
* Prefer Qatari RP holders with transferable Visa.
