The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago, and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries. We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centres in all major UAE cities and ports.We are currently looking to recruit an experienced MIS Accountant for our Freight department to be based in our Dubai office.Reporting to the Business Controlling Manager, you will be responsible for:* Preparing weekly/monthly business reports (Sales figures, Credit notes, KPIs), to ensure sound and informed business decisions* Preparing monthly Commercial Business Report / Information Pack for the Freight Management division and issue to the management team* Preparing monthly business reports (Salesman-wise Report, Customer-wise Report, Top 20 Customers Report) to enable sound and well-informed business decisions* Preparing monthly incentive working for the Sales team as per the approved policy* Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts* Preparation of Feasibility Studies for new projects* Providing analysis of import / export volumes and trends for Freight Management* Analysis of the financial impact of emerging trends on business and alert business unit(s) to any potential opportunities and risks for Freight Management* Working with the Business and IT teams to ensure system configuration in line with business requirements for Freight Management* Preparing ad-hoc business reports/analysis as per management requirements |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be successful in winning this role, you must have the following skills and experiences:* Professional qualification in Accounting (MBA Finance &/or bachelor degree in accounting)Â * Experience in Finance working in Freight department* Previous experience in Freight Management and commercial &/or operation support* Understand the business to develop / introduce reports and have the operational knowledge for analysing the financials |
