We are currently looking to recruit an Accountant who will provide assistance in the preparation of budgets, management reports ans financial statistics and supervise the maintenance of accounts receivable ledger in an efficient and timely manner consistent with the company's policies, accounting standards and relevant federal laws.

The duties and responsibilities for this role are:

- Preparation of the accounts receivable/payable ledger.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable/payable statements with the general ledger/expenses/reconciliation of accounts in order to highlight any variances for appropriate follow-up and corrective action by the concerned Management /staff.
- Provide assistance in collecting and compiling relevant data in order to facilitate preparation of reports related to financial matters for timely submission to management.
- Maintain and update the accounts in order to verify and highlight any variances for appropriate corrective action.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
- 4-5 yeas of work experience as Accountant in an insurance industry is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
- Knowledgeable in reinsurance accounting and receivables/payables; Formulation of trial balance/finalization of accounts.
- Good analytical skills.
- Well versed in MS office application.
