The RoleThe RoleOur finance and treasury functions are operated to international standards, and are audited annually by globally renowned accounts and advisors. This helps to ensure that every element of our retail operation is of the highest calibre. Strong financial resources, high standards of financial controls and management through a centralised financial department and detailed business planning that is carried out under the umbrella of a long term corporate plan. Accountants within Retail Finance undertake all/any responsibilities appropriate to level of experience for activities within Sales, Cash Collection, Credit Collection, General Ledger, Purchasing, Banking, Loan Accounts, Payroll, Inventory and the Cashier's Office, to ensure the integrity and correctness of all financial data/ transactions. • Substantiates and authenticates transactions by reviewing all supporting/justifying documents. • Classifies and codes transactions in accordance with company Chart of accounts, adhering to company policy & procedures accounting standards. • Reconciliation of accounts, inventory, sales, etc. • Making supplier payments on time, accounting the invoices and reconciling the supplier accounts with supplier statements, reviewing supplier agreements, providing monthly accruals etc |
RequirementsRequirements• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy • Experience in Oracle Financial Systems preferred • Sound knowledge in Excel and Word • 2 - 3 years experience in similar role • Excellent written & verbal English communication skills • Team player • Ability to work under pressure • Experience in handling the year end audit • Previous experience with finalising accounts independently |
