Employment: Full Time

Our client, a reputable real estate company is currently recruiting for an Accountant.

You will provide support to the leadership in terms of budget management, accounting / administrative and operations functions.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Working in close cooperation with the Finance Director of the Company, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Assist in handling all financial related correspondence and all contractual letters.
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
- Coordinate with Banks on Escrow Account operation (payments and receipts) and loan related transactions.
- Review and check all project payments to contractor, consultants, government authorities and marketing expenses.
- Tracking of actual expenditures against budget.
- Maintaining Accounts Receivables for all sold units and supervise the collection.
- Help prepare Project Management reports as required by the CFO.
- Maintain internal control procedures of all project payments.
- Liaise with External Auditors on year-end audit and be familiar with all IFRS relating to real estate development.
- Help with analysis and forecasting, monthly closings and periodic financial reviews.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting, ideally professional qualification
- Minimum 5+ years experience out of which 2+ years in a similar capacity in a local Real Estate Development company.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IFRS.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and project profitability analysis.
