Job description / Role

Today, Al-Futtaim operates through more than 65 companies in sectors as diverse as commerce, industry and services, and employs in excess of 20,000 people across the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Pakistan, Singapore and Europe.We are looking to recruit an Accountant who will sit within our Shared Services and will be responsible for the Accounting and Finance of the Group as a whole. Including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions.
Main Responsibilities of the role:
* Review, prepare and process payments after checking adequacy of approvals and highlight areas of deficiencies to Supervisor/Manager.
* Prepare Loan/Deposit schedules, compute associated interest, reconcile and post necessary entries in the books.
* Review & clear vendor down payments on monthly basis and update schedules.
* Review & clear vendor debit balances.
* Prepare bank reconciliations and highlight areas of delinquency.
* Prepare Cash flow forecast based on inputs sought from different sources on a weekly basis.
* Maintain tight control over inter-company transactions and follow up for unaccepted invoices/debit.
* Carry out regular review of staff payables and receivables, highlight inconsistencies & lags in recoveries.
Requirements
* Degree qualification in Business/Commerce.
* Excellent computer skills - including ERP knowledge (preferably SAP) and advanced MS-Excel knowledge.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Having an eye for detail.
* Good Team player.
* Previous experience in a similar or related role.
