Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose
Accountant is responsible for NOTC accounting issues including: the primary point of contact for the Egypt & NE team, technical accounting, month-end closings, financial reporting, NFCM (SOX) compliance.

Major Accountabilities
• Maintain proper documentation in line with NFCM guidelines
• Execution of all cash discount, free goods & incentive claims received from each distributor
• Review accruals sheet with fully supporting documents received from Purchasing Dep.(Egypt)
• Execution of all closing entries (accruals, prepayments & sales deduction accrual)
• Execution of the monthly payroll reconciliation between the system run and gen-eral ledger
• Execution of the monthly submission of NPMR for Inventory & Income state-ment on actual figures.
• Ensure the alignment of the financial statement figures with pharma before sub-mission.
• Execution of the monthly submission of the FCRS financial statements on actual figures.
• Execution of the monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
• Review Accruals sheet with fully supporting documents received from Purchasing Dep. (Export Markets).
• Review Personnel Cost (Export for NE, MAG, and Morocco & FWA) received From HR Dep.
• Execution of the monthly accruals (Salaries, M&S and A&P) for export markets.
• Review the draft P&L for export markets and ask Nyon for any adjustment needed before sign off.
• Participate in the NFCM (SOX) testing process.
• Review the weekly petty cash reimbursement entries and monthly physical count.
• Responsible for the stock in trade analysis for Egypt & Export Markets.
• Responsible for any further analysis required from the FRA head or CFO.
• Responsible for Etravel FRA role.

Key Performance Indicators
• Provide accurate accounting and reporting to Business financials results
• Accurate general ledger reporting to agreed timelines

Requirements

5 + years of accounting/finance experience. Also, a BA/BS degree, as well as excellent analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team. Also helpful to have experience manipulating large databases.
