The Role


The Role


To provide Financial advice, financial reporting, financial control and support to Qatar office while following Workz procedures in addition to other Financial Management responsibilities:

• Leads projects for Finance that may include own direct reports, but will almost always include working with other departments and managers. Examples of projects:
o Trouble shooting, e.g. reduction in inventory, inventory control
o Business improvement, e.g. process re-engineering
o Business control, e.g. design of process, forms, organization
o Greenfield, e.g. establishment of new entity or division
o System implementation, e.g. new ERP module
o Temporary position, e.g. acting position until replacement found
o Audit and review, e.g. audit of a function for ISO or control
• Sets deadlines in-conjunction with CFO and follows up against those deadlines with (typically) weekly progress reporting.
• Makes sure sufficient and relevant resources are deployed for the projects including, as the case may be, effective cross functional team and senior management involvement.
• Uses effective project management tools/processes to manage each stage of the project.
• Ensures realistic evaluation of proposals through appropriate research, risk assessment and justification of each business case. Aligns the Finance Team with key functions in order to ensure a cohesive approach to the evaluation and implementation of approved business changes.
• Prioritize, direct, control and monitor key aspects of each project to achieve the overall project objectives with the company in mind.

Requirements


Requirements


Education: Educated to degree level and/or recognised professional qualification of a UK accountancy body – AAT

Experience: 4+ years experience, preferably in Telecoms/IT/FMCG/Manufacturing.
Sound technical skills, Computer system experience
Age: 27 to 35 years

Character: Analytical, methodical, problem solver, team-player, self-motivated

Languages: Fluent in English
