We are looking for an Accountant with the capacity to manage all branch accounts, ensuring compliance of defined policies and procedures to safeguard and facilitate the smooth functioning of the branch office.

The key accountabilities of this position are:

HAND HELD TERMINAL:
- Upload and download the daily sales data from Hand Held Terminal to the system and vise-versa in order to maintain a systematic online data system.

DAILY CASH/CHEQUES COLLECTION & DEPOSIT:
- Receive daily sales collection (cash/cheque) from salesman to deposit in the bank, and update the computerized systems for verification and confirmation by the Finance Manager.

CUSTOMER BALANCES:
- Review the customer dues regularly (outstanding balance/Returned Cheques, etc.) in coordination with salesmen through the means of Customer Statement of Account, Ageing Analysis etc. to maintain the status of collections from the customer as per the company policy.

PETTY CASH MANAGEMENT:
- Handle the petty cash payments effectively for the smooth operation of the branch.

VENDING MACHINE COMMISSION:
- Prepare and forward the monthly vending machine commission report in order to enable the Finance Department to pay eligible commission to the Vending Machine Customer.

ADMINISTRATION RETURNS:
- Prepare and forward Administrative returns such as Attendance / Over Time reports, personnel related requests etc. to the concerned departments in order to take timely necessary action.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounts
- 1 - 3 years in financial accounts preferably in a computerized environment.

SKILLS AND SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in Computerized software of MS Office & preferably to ERP package; eg. Oracle financials or SAP.
