The RoleThe RoleThe Accounting Administrator is responsible for cheque receiving, payments to suppliers and employees, petty cash invoices receiving, checking and paying to stores, data entry of invoices in the system in order to support the effective provision of high quality accounting services across the business. Processes ledger and booking entries according to stated procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Processes payments of cheques/ cash/telex transfers for suppliers and employees by following the proper receipts duly signed by the parties receiving cheques/ cash. The Payment vouchers along with receipts received from the parties to be delivered to payment unit head on completion of the payment process. Conducting monthly surprise check cash in safe at outlets and report to the Accounting Management to maintain the control for non-compliance issues and problems. Oversees maintenance of data related to collection of petty cash invoices and payments in order to ensure that accurate and up to date records are established and maintained. Collect and Prepare schedules of petty bills (Back Office & Shops), submit for Re-imbursement to concerned head of unit on weekly basis. Collection of receiving cash/cheques from suppliers and deposit in the bank. Booking entries according to the receipts in the proper accounts. Reconciliation of financial data for employees and bank accounts according to the stated schedules so the company remains aware of its position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within legislative time limits. |
RequirementsRequirementsUniversity Degree in Business/ Bachelor of Commerce. A minimum of one year experience in a similar field. Proficiency in MS Office. Fluency in written and spoken English.
