Accounting Clerk

Job description / Role

Our client, a Global Logistics company is now looking for Accounting Clerk to join with immediate start. Some of the duties are:
- Bank and petty cash entries and daily reconciliation (e.g., disbursements, cheque, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable and deposits)
- Supplier invoices booking and payable dealing (including inter-company transactions)
- Customer invoices posting and credit collection
- Payroll monthly entries and process visas requests for office employees
- Trade license renewal and utilities/rental agreements
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents and records.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Process check requests
- Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs (AS400 is preferred)
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports for the HO.
- Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
- Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Investigates questionable data.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree or similar
- Minimum of 2-3 years at a logistics company
- Available for interviews this week
- Responsible, attention to details, professionalism
