Accounting & Reporting Analyst

Job description / Role

- Supporting performance and generating insights and options for review. Ensures that local activities are aligned with global strategies, brings financial understanding to all issues. Support the Finance Department in the preparation of reporting and annual business planning aligned with the Lebanese regulations and systems.
- To optimise the accounting and reporting performance of the Lebanon IMC by:
- Preparing accurate and timely month end posting.
- Preparing accurate and timely payments to suppliers.
- Correctly allocating expenses and A&P expenditures.
- Prepares accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepares accurate and timely recharge entries.
- Prepares accurate and timely magnitude reporting and submission.
- Leads and prepares all tax calculations and declarations.
- Performs accurately and on time the month end closure process including posting of journals and accruals, reconciliation of customers and suppliers accounts, tracking of A&P (Advertising & Promotion) and overhead spending, intercompany recharges and magnitude reporting.

Requirements

- Degree, Professional Qualification (especially in Finance) with strong academic record or equivalent experience in any of Finance and or Accounting.
- 5 relevant years of experience in accounting ideally within a Commercial environment.
- Knowledge of the Arabic language, tax and regulations in Lebanon.
- Have an ability to challenge conventional thinking and to propose alternative solutions.
- Communication skills - robust and willing to challenge where required.
- Proven experience of building, developing and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Have a track record of practical application of financial skills.
- Ability to be a business partner to commercial teams.
- Be naturally inquisitive, self-motivated and results oriented.
- Strong team orientation.
