The Role


Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, and IKEA as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the Middle East and in South East Asia.
We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout the UAE, Egypt and GCC countries. We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program.  We are looking for Accounts Executive to join our Retail Finance team based in Retail Regional Office, located in Deira, Dubai.

In this role you will be responsible for:

* Bank Reconciliation - to ensure the accuracy between the books of account and the bank statement thereby reducing risk/exposure to the business.
* Clearing Account Reconciliation - to supervise and ensure the accuracy of the sales entered in the books of account with the collection of receipts for the sales thereby reducing risk/exposure to the business.
* Cash Management Services - ensuring that all the Retail stores are provided unhindered Cash Management Services and also ensuring that the staffs are trained on the same.
* POS Services - ensuring that all the Retail stores are provided unhindered POS Services (Credit Card Acquiring) and also ensuring that the staffs are trained to operate on the same.
* Accounts Receivable Services - ensure that all accounts receivable requirements of the businesses under Retail Division are provided.
* Documentation - ensure that the documentation requirements for all businesses under Retail Division is completed and submitted to Bank and Group Treasury within the stipulated time.
* Foreign Exchange Management - to ensure that the foreign exchange requirements for the businesses under the Retail Division are obtained in coordination with Group Treasury and notified to the businesses the rates instantly.
* Treasury Reports - to ensure the preparation, consolidation and submission of the Treasury Reports to the Group Treasury within the stipulated time.
* Audit - interact with & provide assistance to internal/external auditors to facilitate the completion of audits of the Treasury activities.
* Business Service Satisfaction - provide a high level of service to businesses under Retail Division at all times for all Treasury and Accounts Receivable activities which will enable efficient operations of the business.

To be successful in winning this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

* A minimum of 5 years experience as an Accounts Assistant/ Accountant preferably in retail
* Excellent knowledge of Excel and exposure to any ERP, preferably SAP
* Analytical and numerical ability
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Planning and organising skills
* Good reporting skills
* High level of accuracy
