Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Daily transactional recording.
- Day to day responsibility for maintaining the financial control process.
- Accuracy and integrity of the accounting system, including correct project and cost coding.
- Meet daily, weekly, monthly deadlines as set by the Financial Controller.
- Daily Bank and Petty Cash Reconciliation.
- Through collaboration with the equipment service line teams, daily recording and maintenance of the Inventory system.
- Weekly Maintenance of the Payables, through recording of Purchase Orders, reversing upon payment, and preparing an aged schedule.
- Weekly monitoring of the Accruals, through coordination with the Financial Controller.
- Weekly monitoring of Prepaid assets, through recording and amortizing.
- Weekly forecasting of cash payments over the next twelve months.
- Upon approval from the FC & FD, execute weekly Payments to vendors.
- As needed, build and maintain and relationship with the organizations vendors.
- Perform monthly Intercompany Reconciliations.
- On a monthly basis, complete account reconciliations ensuring schedules agree with the General Ledger.
- For the month end close complete all items on the monthly checklist as provided by the Financial Controller.
- For the year end close assist with the external audit.
- In conjunction with the Financial Controller, take part in special projects (ie: ERP integration, Process Control Narratives, new efficiency templates).

Requirements

- At least 7 years of experience working within a Finance team
- Accounting Background from a reputable Educational Institution and/or Professional Qualifications
- Accounting ERP experience (with a preference of Microsoft Dynamics AX)
- Positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Takes initiative, works independently
- Willing to ask questions and confidently back up the position taken
- Pays attention to detail
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Sound accounting knowledge (IFRS)
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Willingness to adapt and innovate in a changing environment
