Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, and IKEA as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the Middle East and in South East Asia.

We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout the UAE, Egypt and GCC countries. We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program.

We are recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join the Retail Corporate Office in Dubai Festival City. The successful candidate will establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information; managing staff.

The Accounting Manager is also expected to make recommendations for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key tasks includes defining, implementing and improving Service Level Agreement (SLA). This position must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including General Ledger preparation and Financial Reporting

Businesses : IKEA, M&S, ACE Hardware, Toy R US, Plug Ins, F&F, Intersport, Guess, Espirt, AFWJ, Sandgate and RSH MENA
Counties: UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan and Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities:

* Service Level Agreement (SLA)
* Vendor Payments - With a total of 60 active SAP companies and 3,000 vendors across the entire MENA Region
* Inter Company invoice, Intra Companies / credit acceptance within the stipulated credit term as per Group policy.
* Vendor Master Update and vendor clearing
* Reconciliation of merchandise vendor accounts
* Reconciling Down Payment Account / Advances to employees / Advance to Supplier and GR-IR account
* Capex ( Fixed Asset)
* Business Plan
* Withholding Tax
* Attending to both Internal and External Auditors

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Commerce and knowledge of SAP is a must, additional experience of Shared Service would be an advantage

Minimum Experience: 10 years in Financial Accounting

Job-Specific Skills: Accounting, Managing Processes, Management Proficiency, Coordination, Motivating Others.
Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS PPT
