Employment: Full Time

Role Profile

Assist the financial controller and supervise the accounting staff in timely and accurate execution on the daily accounting processes of the company , such as accounts payable and receivable, financial closing & consolidations, maintaining chart of accounts, processing payroll, reconciliations, maintaining records of petty cash and controlling fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Contribute toward the development and implementation of accounting and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, processes and standards pertaining to finance & accounting processing.

• Prepare periodic financial reports as per the financial controller instructions.

• Supervise, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to procedural standards.

• Supervise and reconcile sub-ledger reports on monthly basis in addition to creating the final trial balance.

• Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and control.

• Review and approve payment vouchers & journal entries

• Establish and maintain systems for cost sensitivity analysis and real-warning cost-overruns.

• Supervise, update and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts to reflect the transactional activities of the company.

• Manage invoicing and the collection of receivables and payables; verify all vendor invoices and prepare for approval

• Register and maintain the fixed assets; lead the valuation of fixed assets, adjusting for depreciation

• Handle cash flow and petty cash; ensure all transactions are clearly recorded.

• Supervise and ensure proper recording and accuracy of all transactions. Review and validate payroll summary in coordination with the relevant R members.

• Assist external auditors in ensuring that audits are completed timely through collaborating and providing required data.

• Prepare the managements and accounts reports.

Requirements

Educational & Competencies requirements

• CPA or graduate in Accounting/Finance/ACCA qualification
• Minimum five years in a similar position
• Communication skills
• Stakeholder orientation.
• Risk analysis and management
• Data analysis
• Strong capabilities in MS Excel
• Working experience in Oracle is highly regarded.
