The RoleThe RoleMajor Container Terminal Attractive TAX FREE salary package Based in Saudi Arabia Our client is in the process of establishing a new world-class container terminal in Saudi Arabia and is now recruiting senior management for this exciting new project. This new private terminal is designed to handle the largest container vessels currently afloat with its state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. Designed with an annual throughput of 1.5m TEU the terminal is expected to commence operations in 2009. The Accounts Team Leader (AP/AR) will report to the Financial Controller. Primary responsibility is to maintain accurate and up to date information of all financial transactions and to manage the team of accountants involved in this process. Responsibilities • Preparation of DR/CR notes, accounts payables, accounts receivables, accruals, employee settlements etc • Control and reconciliation of various accounts and schedules including scrutinisation of all transactions, documents and journal entries • Deposit of daily cash and cheque collections with the bank • Preparing appropriate reports for the financial controller (receivable or payable) • Supervision of the work of the accountants and accounting clerks |
RequirementsRequirements• Fully qualified with an appropriate Accounting body, e.g. ACCA, CIMA • Minimum 3 years work experience as a Supervisor in a busy accounts payable or receivable function, preferably in a Container Terminal • Familiar with electronic accounting systems • Familiar with Saudi Arabian and international accounting principles If this is the job for you then please APPLY NOW online. |
