Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Work with Information Technology & Systems function within BP to define, configure, implement and manage the standard Region-wide planning and scheduling tools (Primavera, CMMS-P6 interface, KPI tool) in support of the Activity Planning (AP) process.

You will also:

*Ensure system configuration efficiently supports Activity Planning.

*Manage implementation of changes required to continuously improve the AP toolset.

*Deliver systems and tool training programs to build scheduling capability in the Region.

*Develop capability to ensure Regional AP Systems and Tools sustainability.

*Work with Information Technology & Systems function within BP ( IT&S) to define, configure, implement and manage the Region-wide planning and scheduling tools (Primavera, CMMS-P6 interface, KPI tool).

-Ensure that the Region AP toolset and associated working practices are consistent with the Upstream Defined Practice and Upstream Recommended Practice.

-Identify specific Regional needs and incorporate these into the Region system design.

-Identify best practices for standardizing and sharing with the Activity Planning ( AP) Central Team.

-Formulate long-term vision for developing AP systems and tools with support from the wider AP team.

-Lead the change to move the Region to new standard systems and tools.

*Act as a key change agent by helping the APM and AP team to embed the Activity Planning process in the Region.

-Work closely with the Activity Planning team to develop a Region Activity Planning process that is fully supported by the tools design (including all elements required in support of functional planning, area scheduling and execution management)

-Identify and implement interfaces with external companies, as required

*Work with IT&S to define and implement Region-specific tools

-Identify Region-specific tools that interface with Activity Planning and agree which ones will be standardized across the Region and supported by the Systems/Tools team (e.g., logistics)

-Deliver Activity Planning Systems and tools training programmes to build scheduling capability

-Establish Activity Planning Systems and tools competency matrix for all planners and schedulers.

-Identify skills gaps.

-Design and implement Activity Planning systems and tools training.

*Develop capability to ensure Regional Activity Planning Systems and tools sustainability
-Lead the AP systems and tools team and build capability to provide day-to-day user support for any

-Systems and tools issues.

-Interface Test Manager

-Ensure integrity of the AP toolset to support an efficient Regional scheduling process

*Manage performance contracts, career planning, communication with and routine supervision of the following direct reports (as appropriate):

-Primavera Regional Coordinator

-Interface Specialist

-Maximo Regional Coordinator

-Planning Systems Owner

-Primavera Consultant

-Interface IT Project Manager

-Interface Test Manager

Requirements

*Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business or finance preferred.

*Appropriate certifications in Upstream Operations along with extensive experience will also considered and will be an advantage.

*At least 10 years experience in an oil and gas E&P environment and a good understanding of Upstream Operations processes

*Managerial experience working with planning and scheduling of operations, maintenance or projects.

*Experience as a planner or scheduler

*Experience with information systems for planning and scheduling of operations or projects.

*Understanding of basic Project Management concepts and tools

*Knowledge of planning/scheduling applications

*Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

*Ability to accurately translate business requirements into systems & tools functionality requirements

*Natural ability to learn and apply new tools and ways of working to emergent regional challenges ('tech savvy')
