CH2M HILL Administrative Assistant (Saudi National) - Jeddah, KSA

CH2M HILL is providing project management services for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the neighboring town of Thuwal in Saudi Arabia. Situated on the scenic Red Sea an hour north of the second largest Saudi Arabian city and seaport, Jeddah; KAUST is a truly spectacular facility, and is slated to become a major center of research, training the next generation of scientists, engineers and technologists in the Middle East. We have secured a four-year-plus contract with Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco)for a wide array of projects at KAUST. They include specialized laboratories, research centers, innovation and technology incubation centers, administration buildings, a convention center, mosques, residential and recreational facilities, research park infrastructure and security systems. The work also includes site development, communications equipment, utilities, roads, parking and landscaping. In addition to the 14-square-mile KAUST campus, the program will be developing the town of Thuwal itself, with the construction of schools, a clinic, mosques, roads, Coast Guard and National Guard facilities and a fishing harbor. General Summary

This position provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. You will perform multiple, related tasks and apply administrative procedures to resolve problems which may not be routine in nature. You will escalate complex problems as needed. You will be capable of following general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. You will be expected to assess the urgency of, and prioritize as appropriate, tasks assigned to you.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Typically supports a small group or department in coordinating project files, managing information flow, or arranging travel schedules and meeting planning.

Responsibilities are both routine and non-routine in nature such as maintenance of files/ documents, modifying data, or performing analysis on moderately complex information. Specific desirable attributes Experience providing administrative services on a large construction project in Middle East (preferably Saudi Arabia)

Sufficient knowledge & skill to follow general verbal instructions & work under general supervision.

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum years of experience: 2

Has project office experience in building industry or similar industry.

Provides administrative support to the Company Rep and assists with the preparation of technical and management presentations.

Assists in compilation of various project status reports.

Creates and maintains a filing record system to keep material and procedures up to date and informs Company Representatives as appropriate.

Perform other related duties as requested by the Company Rep.

Must have knowledge of administrative procedures and guidelines. OR has experience and knowledge in office IT equipment setup, installation and administration.
