About the Business Description and Desired Qualifications Summary of Job Purpose: The Administrator contributes to the efficient day-to-day operations of the Qatar 2022 PMC office, and supports the work of management, other employees, and the Executive Project Team. This position has primary responsibility for coordinating and performing office administrative tasks. CH2M HILL Administrator - Doha, Qatar Program Description: Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup Football and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure and non competitive venues, like hotels. CH2M HILL is shortlisted as programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the construction management of competition and training venues and associated common domain precincts and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee. Key Duties: This position performs diverse and complex activities independently, providing a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. Supports project team members in handling calendars, coordinating project files, managing information flow, arranging travel schedules (including complex international travel) and meeting planning. May support the Executive Team and coordinate the preparation of Board materials. The incumbent uses judgment based on experience to evaluate complex/sensitive situations and develop solutions, and works independently to achieve assignment outcomes. The incumbent manages own workload. This position frequently provides on the job training to new team members. Responsibilities are typically confidential in nature, necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy. Interfaces with staff at all levels, high-level clients, government officials, and dignitaries, requiring an extremely professional demeanor and customer service approach. |
RequirementsRequirementsBasic Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required, plus advanced or specialized training in administrative support is preferred; college degree is desirable. 8 or more years of administrative support experience is preferred, with significant experience supporting executive leaders or Boards of Directors (10 to 15 years total experience preferred). Experience Technical: Proficiency in the use of computer programs for: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Internet Technical: Proficiency in the use of office equipment: Computer, Scanner, Photo copier Relationships: Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally. Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Needs Assessment: Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of members and other clients to meet or exceed their expectations. Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness; ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary. Organization: Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency; ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, create / implement actions plans and monitor progress towards goals; and ability to make clear, timely decisions.
