Job description / Role
The holder of this job is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all of the activities related to the recruitment, admissions, and student aid functions within the Department of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. The Manager is also responsible for the training, supervision, and evaluation of required staff.
This appointment involves developing and finalizing relevant policies and procedures in addition to ensuring their implementation and operationalization in time for the opening of the Institute (by Fall 2015).
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of successful student recruitment, outreach, and marketing plans and campaigns.
• Manage and deliver specific student outreach and recruitment activities including student interviews, undergraduate universities visits, organization of and participation in regional open days and other student focused events.
• Create and maintain effective admissions and financial aid procedures and processes.
• Supervise the admissions of continuing and incoming students and ensure the assessment of transfer credit and transfer credit applicability toward degree.
• Ensure all enquiries by prospective students and other stakeholders are responded to in a timely manner.
• Present the institute with studies, reports, and analysis of admission, and other academic data as requested.
• Oversee the design of promotional literature and display materials for recruitment, admissions, and financial aid.
• Prepare and manage budgets for all areas of responsibility.
• Advise students, faculty, deans, and other stakeholders regarding the operations and policies of the department.
• Responsible for compliance with related institute policies, procedures, schedules, and academic calendars.
• Build relationships with local, regional and international universities in pursuit of recruiting an elite group of students who will drive the mission of the institute.
• Maintain continuous flow of quality applicants and transfers to the institute by analyzing trends in enrollment and marketing activities, leading activities to continue programs that are effective, and by modifying program.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
• Five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in admissions and financial aid management in higher education within the last eight years.
• A proven track record of success in student recruitment
• Knowledge for analyzing recruitment-related data and assessing programming activities as part of a strategic enrollment planning initiative
• Experience working with diverse populations
Education & Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or related field
• Master’s degree is preferred
Skills
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory
• Excellent communication and managerial skills
