Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is a senior role for an advertising and media planning executive with proven record managing media operations and campaign roll-out across traditional and digital space.

• Work closely with Marketing Management to develop and maintain annual advertising & media strategy, design complex media programs and roll out of brand advertising campaigns & marketing communications projects.
• Manage traditional and digital advertising including print, television, outdoor and radio.
• Expand The client’s online marketing activities by identifying and implementing new online advertising opportunities including pre-roll video ads for major websites, YouTube ads and webinars.
• Planning and executing integrated media sponsorships that include advertising and product placement.
• Monitor The client’s campaign performance regularly to quickly capitalize on opportunities, implement changes to boost performance and report performance data on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate across teams to identify assets to leverage (i.e. case studies or customer spotlight opportunities) within campaigns.
• Help brief and follow up on media research projects and maintains data for future.
• Assist with media insertion orders, invoicing and media expenditure tracking.
• Maintain and develop relationships with “paid” media representatives in Qatar and globally
• Supports management of overall tender management and consolidate buying efforts wherever possible.
• Annually assist in development of comprehensive advertising/marketing plans and budget programs and media buying.
• Leads the effort to build an international media platform, through planning a global media buying strategy, selecting the right partners/outlets and directing adequate budgets. Incorporate metrics to track results as needed.
• Develops and fosters strong working relationships with internal personnel, agency partners, suppliers and channel partners to stimulate creative thinking, maximize integration and effectiveness & help support marketing plans and achieve goals.

Requirements

• 5 years in marketing, marketing communications or advertising, with specific experience managing communications strategies including roll-out, messaging, collateral, direct marketing, advertising and web/digital
• 2 years minimum of media planning experience with a solid foundation of media planning and budgeting.
• Lifestyle sector experience a big plus
• Must have experience executing advertising campaigns, consisting of multiple vehicles including TV, online, print, radio and outdoor.
• Solid experience in integrated marketing communications plans using a wide range of tactics (traditional, digital, social)
• Proven experience in managing media buying budget and programs
• Proven experience in managing & implementing media sponsorship programs
• Must be extremely organized and detailed oriented.
• Must be a self-starter who is ready, willing and able to own and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must have great communication and interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated ability to build relationships with outside vendors.
• Comfort in planning and reading media plans/budgets
• Knowledge with online advertising market a huge plus
• Must be good with numbers and enjoy analyzing data.
• Must be creative thinking to develop unique, compelling media placement ideas for campaigns.
• Must be proficient with MS Office applications, especially with using data in Excel
