The Role

The Role

1. Business Relations

•Execute sales strategies made by the Manager for all wholesale clients & content providers
•Implement account plans & targets for data capacity, hub & co-lo sales
•In cooperation with the Manager grow alliances
•with content providers and convince them to host their services in Oman
•with telecom operators to sell Global Data solutions to international operators
•Search and scan the market actively regarding price developments
•Manage accounts to over achieve set sales targets
•Migrate accounts from competitors acc. to sales strategy set by Manager
•Ensure Wholesale customers are satisfied by fulfilling their business needs
•Develop, manage and expand the relationship with wholesale customers
•Develop offers tailored to client needs to grow business
•Ensure delivery (implementation) of solutions tailored to client needs
•Ensure client satisfaction with delivered services
•Leverage existing relationships to up & cross sell products and services

2. Submarine & Routing

•Support Manager to identify opportunities for establishing agreements with international companies to facilitate the sales of international telecom traffic, especially in the area of submarine cables
•Support Manager to develop business cases for submarine expansion and terrestrial connectivity
•Represent Omantel by participating in industry forums pertaining to Wholesale

3. Operational

•Coordinate with IT, Finance, Regulatory and Legal Affairs to ensure compliance and appropriateness in signing agreements and contracts
•Ensure international network capacity levels are maintained at all times and escalate to necessary channels as required
•Provide input to Product Development on new product & service development
•Receive wholesale client service requirements and follow up with Integrated Technology
•Provide timely market feedback to Manager and Pricing on offers and promotions of the competitors
•Support and execute knowledge sharing with the Manager on all areas listed in the job description



Knowledge / Technical Skills

•Good business judgment
•Good analytical skills
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Good people management skills
•Proven record of dealing at senior management level especially with telecom operators and content providers
•Good salesmanship and networking skills
•Advanced knowledge of strategic negotiation skills
•Advanced knowledge of wholesale infrastructure, specifically in international networks and especially submarine cables
•Proven knowledge sharing experience

Education /Certifications:

Post-graduate in Business Administration or Technology Management


A minimum of 3 year experience in the Wholesale and Submarine Telecommunications Industry
