Job description / Role
Advisory Deals - Deals Strategy - Manager - Riyadh
Business analysis
- Quickly gets on top of industry and business issues
- Forms an opinion and articulates client/target strategy from e.g. business plan
- Identifies deal issues, drawing on experience from previous projects
Sense-checks and triangulates research and output with other data sources
- Applies intellectual rigour
- Continuously challenges and sense-checks Consultants and Senior Consultants output for robustness and integrity
Financial analysis
- Able to understand and discuss in detail financial projections with the client and more senior team members
- Challenges business plan assumptions and develops strategies to test reasonableness of assumptions
- Able to create draft commentary and risk assessment of business plan assumptions
- Understands and is up-to-date with deal environment, latest thinking and roles of various parties within it
Business development:
- Sector expertise: you will be expected to drive thought-leadership and business development as well as building your own personal sector knowledge
- You will be expected to start to develop and maintain your own client relationships and to participate in pitching activity and scoping new assignments
- You may also be asked to contribute to media activity and act as a spokesperson for PwC Deals Strategy
Client relationships:
- The primary role of a Manager is to drive the day to day running of the project. This involves project scoping, developing the teams work plan, structuring the content of the deliverable, reviewing and challenging the output produced by the team and driving the conclusions. The Manager will also have responsibility for day to day contact with the client and other stakeholders and will usually be tasked with presenting the findings to the client. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, Manager will report in to a Senior Manager or Director
Internal:
- Managers also have an important role in contributing to the running of the PwC Strategy business by taking an active involvement in people management, recruitment, training, knowledge management and thought leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor degree required, ideally with concentration in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
- M.B.A. or Masters degree preferred
- Financial modelling experience with strong Excel skills required
- 4-6 years relevant experience required
- Fluent English required, Arabic preferred
