The RoleThe RoleRM Asia Group of Companies Job Title: After Sales Manager Location: Kabul, Afghanistan RM Asia Group is a partner in the development of South East Asia, Asia and Africa, uniquely positioned to promote economic development. We are a global aid and development dealer for Ford Motor Company and sell/modify vehicles for use by humanitarian and development non-governmental organizations, government and commercial businesses. We operate in an expanding and dynamic international environment of general trading and service operations in emerging markets. Key responsibilities of the post: • Based in Kabul, Afghanistan, reporting to the Country Manager for commercial and operational matters and the Group After Sales Director based in Thailand for technical and quality matters • To take over an existing Ford / ITEC workshop and PDI centre. • Focus on building the fleet / external business segment and delivering the highest levels of service to our existing and potential customer base. • Ensure After Sales Department achieves target objectives. • Ongoing examination of accounts, operating controls, industry reports and public domain information. • Ensure accurate parts, service and body shop work recording, job costing and invoicing. • Manage a 30-50 man Afghan workforce and recruitment of local mechanics. • Maintain and develop workshop labor productivity, technical skills and high standards of quality workmanship. • Adopt best practices in customer handling and communication. • Profit and loss responsibility for After Sales Division. • Manage (reduce) an inventory of $2mio of parts. • Utilize CMMS (Kerridge). • Prepare invoices and PO’s. |
RequirementsRequirementsIdeal candidates will possess: • This position requires a mature, target driven individual who has a well proven track record in the automotive industry. • Technical, professional and engineering qualifications. • Technical knowledge with at least 5 years experience of the retail motor industry at a senior level. • Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle design and manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and trade practices. • Skills in applying knowledge in a management position. • Experience and knowledge of modern business methods and financial control. Skills in using this knowledge in a practical way. • Ability to organize clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resources. • Leadership and coaching attributes. • Knowledge of the changing face of the industry in the light of E.U. legislation and its effects on the business. • (Preferred) Membership of The Institute of the Motor Industry. • High standards of numeracy and literacy and strong communication skills. |
