Agriculture Engineer – Sales
The Agriculture (Sales) Engineer should be able to sell agricultural equipments through:
1- The development of equipments and facilities to help the farmers improve the quality of agricultural products and increase productivity.
2- Responsible for providing various solutions by applying biological sciences knowledge which relates to agriculture and farming.
3- Develop strategies to increase industry sector penetration and market share.
The following are duties/ responsibilities of the Agricultural (Sales) Engineer which have to be fulfilled:
1- To provide advice to farmers. Has the prime responsibilities to deal with problems faced by farming community.
2- To be very experimental and able to develop and design different testing equipments and tools which aid in sensing, measuring, and recording different problems faced by farmers. (lead farmers to specify our equipment and the right equipment for the application, terrain and climate).
3- To oversee and review all the planning and construction of equipment for land tillage, irrigation, power, fertilization, and harvesting.
The required skills and specifications are as follows:
1- Identify and recommend optimal product technology options to best meet customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
2- Develop technical proposals and coordinate preparation of concept designs in response to customer inquiries.
3- Make technical presentations to demonstrate how company’s product will meet client needs.
4- Should have strong technical & commercial understanding of agricultural equipment.
5- Must have sales experience
Solid work ethics and negotiation skills.
6- The basic degree required for the job is a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
A masters degree is highly desired.
