Al Futtaim company FAMCO, requires experienced Air Compressor Technicians to join their expanding team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. To be considered for this role, you will have significant experience as a Technician and must have at least 5 years hands-on experience as a Portable Air Compressor Technician. Experience within a Portable Air Compressor dealership would be preferably, as well as strong experience with Heavy Goods Vehicles. Main Responsibilities: • Ability to diagnose faults and recommend accurate and effective repair solutions • Ability to understand and implement manufacturer's standard working instructions within specified repair times • Be familiar with appropriate use of workshop equipment and special tools • To be able to demonstrate knowledge of components and systems including electrics, hydraulics, braking & fuel systems • Ability to repair or overhaul major components (engine, transmission, hydraulic components & final drive) • Preference will be given to candidates with experience on Volvo and Ingersoll-Rand Construction Equipment • Products covered include Wheel loaders, Excavators, Artic Haulers, Motor Graders, Compactors, Pavers, Telescopic Handlers and Mobile air compressors • As much of the work is field-based, self motivation and flexibility are essential |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications and Experience: • You will preferably hold a diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering) • 5 years + hands-on experience as a Portable Air Compressor Technician • Experience with any Portable Air Compressor dealership would be preferred* Strong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude, with the ability to work independently in the field under pressure • You will be able to refer to equipment manuals for trouble shooting and be able to read and understand electrical diagrams • Computer knowledge and able to use electronic diagnostic tools for trouble shooting equipment in field • You must be able to communicate in verbal and written English • Ability to speak in Arabic language would be preferable, but not essential • Preferably hold either a UAE, or internationally transferable driving license |
