Airport Customs Broker – Erbil, Iraq
POSITION PURPOSE
Properly execute import & Export customs clearance procedures on behalf of Move One/UPS products.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS
Coordinating and expediting customs clearance operations for MoveOne / UPS shipments inside Erbil International Airport (EIA)
Monitoring the screening of the shipments together with Dnata & Airport Security
Retrieve all flight manifests and necessary documentation for each shipment from Dnata Erbil office on a daily basis
Ensuring that all documentation prepared by operations teams gets processed through the proper import/export channels in a timely manner
Monitoring loading and offloading of all M1 / UPS shipments inside EIA
Providing real time status updates to Move One operations staff in the office.
Comply to MoveOne & UPS financial controls
Making payments to airport authorities for clearance & handling charges(if applicable) and provide receipts to operations team on daily basis.
Comply to Move One HSE procedures at all times
Communicate any/all customs Import/Export regulations changes to MoveOne / UPS operations team immediately when applicable
Maintain a professional working relationship with customs officials
Other duties as per Supervisor request.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Valid local drivers license
Awareness of current Import & Export rules / regulations / laws, and documentary requirements of Iraqi Kurdistan.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Flexible working hours
Awareness and acceptance of cultural differences
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree
Minimum 1 years Customs Clearance Experience in KRG
Native Kurdish speaker (written and verbal), Good speaking of English and Arabic
Minimum 2 years work experience with a Logistics and/or Moving company
