Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role and Responsibilities
• Monitor the potline process related activities and status, and make recommendations for improvements to address anomalies
• Monitor the potline amperage and voltage
• Supervise operators to ensure quality measurements are done, and to act on deviations
• Interact with operations team, and with other departments: Lab (sample results), Casthouse (Tapping plan), Power Plant (power), etc.
• Train and coach operators and operations teams on best practices
• Action and adhere to EHS policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
• Tertiary 3 year Engineering diploma or degree
• At least 5 years of Aluminium smelter experience in the Reduction Process Department
• At least 3 years of shift Process control in AP30 potline OR another potline with more than 300KA
• Experience with Alpsys pot control system
• Good knowledge of Reduction Operations
• Leadership experience
