Job description / Role
Tier 1 UAE-based Banking organisation is currently experiencing a healthy period of growth on the back of new strategic initiatives being implemented across the business
With a healthy pipeline of deals encompassing Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets and Debt Advisory, there is a need to hire an exceptional transaction support resource with capability in financial modelling and transaction execution to support the future growth
The role will be allocated according to the needs of the business and candidates will be expected to work across the full spectrum of the advisory offering. The position will support the execution of client mandates and will assist the origination team in market research, client proposals and pitches
Key requirements:
An understanding of financial statements and a working knowledge of excel financial modelling skills are a pre-requisite. Responsibilities will include developing and interrogating excel based financial models across the transaction space, supporting on pitches / client presentations and research projects
An understanding of funding structures, sources of finance and related documentation is preferred
Expert writing (in standard English) of quality information memoranda and other financing documents is required
To create and interrogate financial models
To write information memoranda, tender documentation and other client presentations in MS word, excel or powerpoint environments
To assist in managing client relationship at appropriate level of contact.
Requirements
- Minimum degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking or Financial Management.
- Ideally an equally suitable postgraduate qualification from a highly regarded institution from the UK/Europe/US.
- Investment banking / commercial banking / consulting (Big 4) experience (one to three years).
- Strong Excel based financial modelling skills and Powerpoint skills.
- Sound project management skills with a focus on delivery. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capability to communicate complex concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, team work and analytical skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and capability.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (advantageous).
- Appreciation of the macro-economic and political dynamics of the GCC / Gulf region.
- Must evoke confidence and respect amongst all business stakeholders including peers, clients and subordinates as well as to superiors.
- Must be comfortable in the role of a go-to-person.
- Integrity a must. Must be client focused and centered. Must be a team player.
