Job description / Role
The Analyst - ERP Application Developer applies detailed knowledge of ERP information technology to the implementation, development, and support of Sidras ERP system. The Analyst works closely with the client department to ensure that the system operates in an optimal and efficient manner at all times and that the system meets the requirements of the end-users and provides support for the supported application as part of the overall support service.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides end user support for a specific ERP application while learning about the application.
- Assists in ERP application implementations and assists in testing end user processes using defined guidelines.
- Updates existing tables and verifies the accuracy.
- Collects data and runs basic reports in response to client inquiries as directed by more senior associates.
- Provides users with technical support for ERP systems
- Builds and maintains Lawson data base and work file definitions
- Analyzes business and user needs, documenting requirements, with the guidance of a senior associate.
- Analyses business process flow charts.
- Creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations, and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership.
- Documents business rules/functional requirements to support system enhancements with the guidance of senior staff.
- Logs and tracks basic problems/work tickets with external product vendors or support organizations.
- Responds quickly and efficiently to any application related incident that is sent via help desk to the team
- Apply a basic understanding of the underlying principles of a professional discipline -typically obtained through formal study.
- Ability to relate actual day-to-day work to business priorities.
- Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies
In view of the developing and changing needs and opportunities within Sidra during this start-up phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree Level Qualification
- 2+ years of Lawson experience or 5+ years relevant experience of other ERP applications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of system development methodology, project management system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
- Knowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies and practices of a professional / technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable with a dynamic, fast paced work environment
- Experience working and collaborating with Software support teams
- Expanding knowledge of related disciplinary areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
