Employment: Full Time

This posting is for an Analyzer Specialist for Saudi Chevron Phillips (S-Chem) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate would have demonstrated experience as an Analyzer Specialist in refining or petrochemical with preference ethylene, polyethylene, or utilities experience.
The Analyzer Specialist position is required to concentrate on continuous improvements in the operations of new and existing facilities in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The additional responsibilities are summarized below:
• The Analyzer Specialist is a safety and compliance role model and leader by adhering to all health, environmental and safety practices and policies
• This individual is accountable for operation of the unit by the S-Chem “Tenets of Operation”, EH&S Procedures, Process Safety Management, Operational Excellence Processes, and operating within the environmental permit requirements.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in all appropriate areas
• Ability to move in and around process equipment and/or confined spaces
• Follow plant policy and repair procedures and guidelines
• Be able to perform work including but not limited to: calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing/replacing process instruments as part of S-Chem’s maintenance program
• Maintain process instruments including but not limited to: control valves, electronic and pneumatic instruments, vibration monitors/monitoring systems, electronic governors, chromatographs, CEMS, mass spectrometers, and others as needed
• Conduct required regulatory environmental compliance testing and documentation
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance activities on instrumentation in operating units during daily operations, equipment turnarounds, and projects
• Effective resource utilization to minimize the cost of equipment repairs while maintaining or increasing the overall quality of the repair
• Ability to diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults
• Ability to read schematic drawings or product manual to repair equipment
• Preferred experience with factory training and repair of: control valves, electronic governors (Triconnex, Woodward), ultrasonic flow meters, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring systems, PLC’s, Applied Automation Gas Chromatographs, Rosemont CEMS analyzers or mass spectrometry
• Visibly and effectively interface with all positions within the organization
• Ensure that the team is properly operating, monitoring, and maintaining operating equipment
• Must effectively communication deviations to the operating plans and other work plans (maintenance, projects, etc.) to all stakeholders in a timely fashion
• Able to communicate effectively on issues across the organization
• Responsible for daily communications with the crew teams
• Responsible for daily updates to a wide variety of audiences, customers, and stakeholders
• Demonstrate a high initiative and be intrinsically motivated
• Assert the appropriate sense of urgency needed for all situations
• Ability to prioritize and delegate authority appropriately
• Possess a presence of mind to understand when other resources are needed
• Demonstrate the ability to strive for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Instrument Technology and seven years’ experience in maintaining process instrumentation or analyzers in a manufacturing plant with preference for refining or petrochemical experience
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, trouble shooting, and conflict resolution skills
