Job description / Role
Our client is a prestigious financial services firm. They are seeking a seasoned compliance officer to focus on AML matters in the Qatar office.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate all Compliance and AML activities across the business to ensure they complies with all relevant regulations and internal policies
* To manage a risk based Compliance monitoring programme covering all of the businesses
* Ensure that Compliance/ AML training is completed within the business
* Ensure that Compliance policies and procedures are properly documented and communicated to all relevant areas
* Carry out the role of the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and ensure that MLR and Suspicious Transaction Monitoring procedures and protocols are adhered to
Requirements
* Previous experience with banking compliance and AML and the way that it operates, or alternatively previous regulatory experience.
* Awareness of the local regulatory environment in relation to banking.
* A minimum of 5 yrs experience in compliance.
