Application Development Engineer - Pipe

Job description / Role

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will be part of the Innovation Centre functionand you will be responsible for:

* Faster and more comprehensive product development, with active support to product innovation in his/her application.
* Driving the product development towards the solutions development by offering the expertise in application and processing technologies used by the customers.
* Value creation through innovation by linking structure property relation to application performance.
* A key interface between product development, marketing and testing groups.

Requirements

As a successful candidate, you should possess:

* Extensive knowledge in the pipe processing technologies.
* Proven experience in extrusion and injection processes for pipe and fittings production.
* Knowledge of pipe production machineries.
* Strong application and market knowledge.
* Strong theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of structure property relationship versus the process/application performance.
* Proven experience in leading/collaborating on, projects externally (good value chain knowledge).
* Strong knowledge of pipe standards, classifications and testing methods.
* 8+ years of relevant experience.
* PhD or a Master's degree is needed.
* Strong communication skills and good coaching abilities.
