The Role


The Role


Scope and Purposes:

Under general direction, analyzes administrative, academic and other processes related to the SCT Banner applications, identifying issues and training requirements and developing training workshops to enable internal and external users to maintain, create, and manipulate data within their respective modules. Maintains awareness of system capabilities and proposes approaches to address impacts for existing and future system functionality; serves on related committees; develops training programs (classroom and online) for users of the Banner and other database modules; acts as a key knowledge resource for the Banner systems for University personnel committees at the University.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyzes processes and data to identify problems or knowledge gaps between system users & system capabilities.

Develops the total training program for Banner systems and coordinates the delivery of training to AUK employees with the Academic Divisions, HR, Student Affairs and Finance Departments and the Continuing Education Center

Designs, develops and facilitates classroom-based and online learning programs for University employees authorized to access Banner; develops and maintains written and online system documentation, reference, and training materials.

Develops training programs for existing and potential Banner System users in the region and coordinates delivery of training with the Continuing Education Center.

Oversees classroom dynamics in order to ascertain that it is producing an optimal learning environment.

Conduct pre-and post-training assessments for both instructors and participants of skills and knowledge Using AUK teaching skills

Disseminating information in appropriate sequence

Coordinates updates and changes to Banner module tables, serves as a liaison to the Information Technology department for system modifications, process improvements, and system upgrades planning, testing, communication, and implementation.

Provides daily user support, while serving as a key knowledge resource for the Banner System; serves on the Banner users group (BUG) committee and various other committees; participates in project team(s) or task forces and resolution efforts with data integrity, business intelligence, to ensure all systems issues are addressed and resolutions coordinated.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Requirements


Bachelor's degree with course work in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent academic area.

2 years experience in training and instruction.

Successful experience with diverse populations in a professional environment.

Experience in working in a team, project directed environment.

SCT Banner functional experience.
