Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Imaging Application Specialist provides high quality application support for Sidras Imaging application by Implementing new designs/changes/upgrades to the existing system. The incumbent works closely with the Radiology department to ensure that the system operates in an optimal and efficient manner at all times and that the system meets the requirements of the end-users and provides specialist support for the RadNet application as part of the overall support service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supports business users in the analysis of requirements, process mapping, and the development of solution design specifications in accordance with organizational standards
- Contributes to all aspects of the application lifecycle including implementation planning, design, build, testing, maintenance, and support
- Provides recommendations for improvements, enhancements and innovations in assigned area to support high quality patient care, and research
- Responds to service requests and coordinates issue resolution
- Conducts job duties and responsibilities according to the organizations business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
- Produces business process flow charts
- Creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations, and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
- Guides end users through complex application functionality
- Responds quickly and efficiently to any application related incident that is sent via help desk to the team in accordance to Sidra service/support model
- Enhances own knowledge through understanding trends and objectives
- Defines overall application functional/business requirements with clinical end users and recommends application modifications/configurations/processes for solutions to functional requirements
- Implements, designs and/or upgrade to the Imaging application
- Creates test plans for projects
- Analyzes model test discrepancies to find trends and works with programmers to resolve
- Establishes cost and time estimates for development/implementation of projects
- Understands and foresees implications of decisions
- Understands the core business process and purpose of the Supported area
- Places issues in context of organizational and functional objectives
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge to provide appropriate solutions
- Develops and applies project management techniques
- Builds deeper understanding of processes, procedures, customers and organization
- Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree In IT or a related field
- 5+ years of work experience as an Integration specialist in a healthcare setting or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience supporting solutions in a hospital environment
- Experience working and collaborating with Software support teams
- Qualified Radiographer
- Strong knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
- Knowledge of academic hospital clinical principles and operational principles
- Demonstrated ability to strategically manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable with a dynamic, fast paced work environment
- Proven skills in supporting mission critical applications
- Expanding knowledge of related clinical disciplinary areas
- Deep specialized knowledge and skills in specific aspects of clinical discipline
- Demonstrated ability to work at a high technical level of most phases of systems analysis
- Good working knowledge and demonstrated ability utilizing systems, tools and procedures to accomplish job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
