Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The application manager is responsible for implementing software applications in an organization and also to carry out the work of upgrading the systems. These professionals are also known as IT Application Managers. The tasks such as installation of hardware and networks too are carried out by the IT Manager. The IT Manager is expected to have a degree in Software Engineering/Information Technology or other such subjects

•Knowledge about computer networking, installation and administration of networks.
•Knowledge of computer troubleshooting.
•Know-how of viruses and security measures to prevent their attack.

Requirements

•An Application Unit Head should be capable of leading a team of IT professionals and provide them with the necessary guidance from time-to-time.
•He should also have decision-making and problem-solving skills.
•To lead a team, the Application Manager need to have good communication skills. He should be capable of making presentations.
•The work of an IT Manager is time-bound. So, he should also learn time-management skills in order to meet deadlines.

The Farmers’ Services Centre (FSC) is a newly formed organisation operating in the emirate of Abu Dhabi specialising in the provision of farmer support services and the marketing of farm produce.

We work with local farmers in Al Gharbia (Western Region) to improve farming practices leading to higher production levels, better quality crops, and greater environmental outcomes.

We also work with retailers and large corporate and government customers to provide them with a secure supply of quality produce.

Essentially, we provide a full suite of services – from farm to market – and in this way, the FSC is developing sustainable agriculture for Abu Dhabi.
