Applications Engineer - Doha

A leader in the water technology sector this multinational organisation has established an enviable reputation within the middle east. Headquartered in the USA, with revenues of $4 billion and 12,500 employees worldwide. They have recently experienced rapid yet strategic growth and are looking for a Sales professional to join the Qatar team.

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing system engineering and advanced application support within the region. The role also has a responsibility to develop the distributor markets and ME employees technical competence.

Key responsibilities include;
- Provide advanced system engineering design support in conjunction with larger and/or complex transport projects, i.e. pump station and network design.
- Provide on-site trouble-shooting of transport related system engineering & application installations.
- Develop the business through a pro-active approach to the market by offering systems engineering to clients, consultants and distributors.
- Assist in preparation of technical material for internal and/or external training sessions in order to maintain competence levels.
- Act in the capacity as mentor/coach for the sales support team for product related enquiries.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in mechanical or any engineering related field.
- Experience with waste water works.
- Project management experience managing different phases.
- Good command of MS Office applications (Word and Excel), AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong communications and language skills including report writing.
- Valid UAE or GCC Drivers License.
