The Role


The Role


Our client is a leading multinational company having business interest in financial markets and technology applications. As part of its expansion in MENA region the company is setting up its operations in Bahrain. This has created a number of highly exciting and rewarding opportunities that would suit candidates seeking to grow their careers alongside an ambitious and already successful international organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assist with the design and support for the local and wide area networks with an ongoing focus on speed and reliability for the connectivity of our customers.

• It will involve Infrastructure Capacity Planning around CPU, storage, server optimization etc

• Analyze performance and technology market trends and advise.

• Provide windows networking and windows server administrative support to all functions of the business with particular focus on trading systems.

• Provide 1st line technical support for company hardware, including imaging/building computers for new staff, building servers, liaising with suppliers.

• Work and liaise with other members of the Global support team to complete tasks and projects.

• Provide first level application support for proprietary Trading System platform.

• Build a support to support and operationally run the business during the next 12 months.

Requirements


Requirements


To be considered, you ideally need experience with at least 3 of the following:

• Expert knowledge of network architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and maintenance.

• Industry experience in administering a distributed exchange connected network in a market making or financial markets firm, high availability or mission critical systems.

• Multi Asset Product Knowledge

• Linux, Unix and Windows Support

• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring core services such as MS Exchange, SQL Server 2005.

• The successful candidate would preferably possess a Degree in Computer Science/Technology or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience, highly intelligent, outgoing personality, rapid and keen learner, and ready to work in a highly energized exciting environment. CISCO/Networking certificates and experience in a market making or financial markets firm would be advantageous.

• Willingness to learn multiple platforms is a must. Great opportunity to stretch and enhance skills.
