Would you like to be a part of our team? As a result of continuous growth and development we have a unique opportunity for an Aquarium Manager to oversee and manage the small exhibits Aquarium.
In this position you will be responsible for delivering and bringing the myth of Atlantis to life using your professional attitude and interpersonal skills with confidence. You will also manage programs to ensure healthy and sanitary living conditions, proper nutrition and constant care for all marine animals and exhibits. You will also play an active role in marine education, conservation and research efforts.
Requirements
- Possess skills equivalent to five (5) years aquarium experience and education
- Hold an in-depth understanding in exhibit design and development , animal acquisitions and dispositions with at least three (3) years leadership and management experience
- A sound understanding of animal husbandry principles to ensure the optimal health of animals with emphasis on disease recognition, treatment, diagnosis and prevention
- Extensive knowledge of local and exhibit animals, including: species habitat, behaviors, feeding preferences and nutrition
- Sound understanding of life support systems and troubleshooting
- Provide clear concise instruction, training and liaise closely with the husbandry team
- Skills in establishing, implementing and monitoring written standards and protocol for the small exhibits
To be considered for this role you will have a Degree, preferable in Biology, Zoology, Marine Science or related field.
