The Role


The Role


An Arabic Writer is responsible to write copy & translate to a strict house style to accompany the deals. The role objective is to clearly communicate the deal details and engage Groupon customers with an entertaining copy that echoes our Groupon Voice. The Writer plays a key role in increasing sales by highlighting the unique selling points of our deals and promoting a great city experience to our customers.

Other responsibilities include:

Boost sales by promoting the deal with a stylishly entertaining and amusing copy and encouraging repeat custom, drive traffic through the site
Represent the merchant in a favourable light and showcasing the platform as a valuable advertising space for businesses
Ensure our deal descriptions clearly communicate the key selling points, entertain the reader within the Groupon Voice, and consistently fulfil our commitment to transparency
Ensure that write-ups clearly present deals to subscribers
Ensure that the most compelling and relevant selling points have been clearly expressed and logically organized
Ensure that creative content avoids our style taboos

Ability to write in an accessible, and engaging and friendly tone
Computer literate with a good understanding of MS Office, HTML and CMS
Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation are all essential
Previous writing experience is essential
