The RoleThe Role- Specifications: Review – Study & Compare with tender assumptions (& with tender documents - if reviewing a different version or different print of the documents) & raise discrepancies to Management & PM and where applicable to Engineer - Assess adequacy, completeness & consistency of Specs - Design drawings: Review - Study & Compare with tender assumptions (& with tender documents - if reviewing a different version or different print of the documents) - Assess adequacy & consistency of Drawings, Identify the required Coordination works - raise queries, identify conflicts & omissions - identify and prepare lists of required Shop Drawings per trade - Bills of Quantities: Review & analyze + Identify necessary works not listed in BOQ & notify Management & PM and where applicable to Engineer - raise queries Compare with tender & raise discrepancies - Assess adequacy & consistency of, method of measurements, preambles, rates – propose to management & PM commercial strategy - Critical & risk issues in contract documents & project : Work out technical solutions to simplify works and to minimize and/or contain risks - coordinate with CM – Discuss solutions with PM for his approval - Reporting & Communication & Forms & distributions: propose distribution procedure for technical documents & agree with PM-implement same-provide updates and distribute - Execution strategy & Method statements: Review and Verify General method statement for technical adequacy-Review and approve trades method statements , Recognize critical items in strategy- Coordinate production of method statement + Verify compliance of all submittals and Engineer's replies to approved method statements. - Shop Drawings - As built drawings: Schedule production of sub mittals- support own staff to improve their skills - Review and coordinate with all trades-Keep log of sub mittals and related actions by all parties-Review Engineer/Consultant replies and Scrutinize for any possible VO - Claims & Variations: Track occurrences of Variations & Claims events - quantify & provide substantiations as necessary - report them to PM & QS in agreed reporting procedure |
RequirementsRequirementsFluent English language - BE Architect Engineer - Master is a plus - Communications skills - Computer skills - Diligence and accuracy. - Minimum 5 years of work experience in similar projects or in the correct environment |
