Job description / Role
Architectural Inspector, Abu Dhabi
AECOM are seeking an Architectural Inspector to be based in our project site in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate is responsible for works under the technical direction of the Senior Architect/ Project Manager to review approval of all submittals as well as the technical supervision of other inspectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews project contract documents and monitors construction activities to ensure compliance.
- Performs and/or evaluates tests confirming quality requirements of protective coatings, lighting, acoustics, HVAC system and other architectural finishes and building components.
- Field checks placement, location and quality of architectural finishes, building structure and components, signage, utilities, security systems and handicap requirements.
- Provides general inspection of contractor and subcontractor work to assure a safe and workmanlike operation.
- Monitors contractor's compliance with approved Quality Control Plan. Assures compliance with approved submittals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or relevant field is required for this role (Diploma holders will not be acceptable). In addition, preference will be given to candidates currently based in the UAE.
- At least 8+ years of Architectural inspection experience working on various School, High-rise or Villa projects in the Middle East.
- Should be able to work well with other people and to communicate clearly.
- Accuracy & precision of work.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Accountability for assigned work.
