The Role


The Role


Objective : To increase our market share in Middle East by developing new business for our company focusing on the international sea chart industry. Key target customers are ship owner and ship managers plus ship agents and supplier.
Main responsibility : Prospecting of new possible business, networking, sales and marketing plus development of activities to promote the business and services. Planning and execution of attendance at exhibitions and conferences in Middle East - Dubai will be the base.
Other interactions : Actively work with Singapore office to develop business in Middle East
Number required : 1
Duration : Permanent
Desired start date : September 2008
Working hours : Sunday - Thursday 9 am - 6pm
Travel requirement : Some travel within Middle East and also to our offices in Singapore and Norway
Gross monthly base salary : To be discussed individually

Other certifications : Captain or Master
Previous experience : Sea going experience
Specialist knowledge : Knowledge, experience and strong interest for the international shipping industry. Interest in current developments taking place within the maritime/shipping industry.
Other Skills : Professional sales skills, good negotiator. Like to network and build strong long lasting customer relationships. Motivated by result improvements - sales driven and creative terms of generating new ideas to drive the business forward. Pro active and prefer working for a company with management style expecting and respective new ideas from the employees.
