Area Sales Manager North Africa

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position as an Area Sales Manager for a leading multinational lighting company, developing their operations in North Africa.

This company is a recognized and experienced name within the international lighting industry. With strong results will come bonus incentives as well as opportunities for advancement within the company structure.

The Area Sales Manager will ideally possess a strong sales background, previous experience in the retail lighting industry and a strong background working in North and French-speaking Africa.

Responsibilities:
Develop new business and establish distribution partners
Manage client pricing and margins and overall Sales account management
Achieve the annual revenue budget for the assigned territory
Overseeing sales development in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria but will also hold responsibility for other French speaking countries in Africa
Establish the company as a leading component supplier to the lighting industry in the region
Developing a long term relationship with the customer/distributor through managing their demands and requirements.
Understand customer and market requirements to initiate and promote new product launches.
Responsible for managing and achieving assigned sales quota.
Formulating effective sales strategies and policies together with the Regional Sales Manager.
Drive new product launches for the assigned area.
Frequent monitoring and reporting of market trends as well as competition activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
Retail lighting industry experience with distributors or OEM.
North Africa experience or background.
A sales and development background.
Experience of both new and key account management.
Fluency in both Arabic and English.
Knowledge of French is an asset.
