Employment: Full Time

Job Description:
- Achieve annual sales targets for all relevant product lines and territories while operating profitably within stipulated expenditure budgets.
- Expand and maintain good agent and trade relationships to ensure complete coverage of Company products and develop strategies to combat piracy
- Grow textbook adoption business by presenting and selling all relevant products, both print and electronics.
- Identify Company Products for visioning and coordinate local publishing development program
- Represent Company Health Sciences at the highest levels and maintain good visibility and corporate profile.
- Introduce e-Textbooks to the market, train and monitor access throughout the territory

Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key players in book industry for sale of books or other Health Solutions products in English language or for translation.
- Identify areas of opportunity for Company Products in local language or English language across all subject areas and levels of Health Sciences.
- Grow Company standing in Levant Health Science market place through development of key relationships with opinion leaders.
- Investigate and develop opportunities for original publishing of books or other original products with local institutions or authors.
- Regular liaison with marketing and editorial department colleagues to ensure availability of effective marketing and promotional information and tools and promote understanding between the teams.
- Development of other adjacent markets
- Achieve and exceed own territory sales targets and prepare appropriate sales forecasts to ensure growth in revenues while working profitably and within budget.
- Planning, organization and reporting.
- Preparation of year plan through analysis of territory and planning activities to ensure appropriate selling, marketing and other development activities to attain objectives.
- Maintain an accurate client and market intelligence database.
- Maintain comprehensive product & market knowledge of all HS products.
- Completion of Activity, Sales and Competitive / Market Intelligence Reports as specified by Manager.
- Maintenance of sufficient bookshop stocking levels and effective promotion of all key front and backlist titles to increase sell-through and minimize returns.
- Manage key stockists in territory and maintain and improve relationships with key distributors through regular visits with allocated team member(s).
- Attend conferences and other events where Company books and journals can be promoted or sold .
- Development of effective academic calling plan of key push-list (textbook) titles across territory to ensure new and rollover adoption business.
- Ensure effective planning, initial and follow-up calling and optimum number of inspection copies to market covering all relevant institutions.
- Updating of University database to assist in effective academic work.
- Visit with and train allocated team member(s) on a regular basis to help develop performance and sales skills.
- Preparing and delivering strong presentation

Other responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of regional strategy in the territory
- Implementation of local sales strategy
- Training and development of sales team to improve selling, negotiation, presentation and other skills
- Work with Credit Control departments to ensure smooth running of customers accounts
- Communicating with international offices of Company.

Requirements

- 7-10 years sales previous experience in publishing sales or product development role within Healthcare Solutions and Education;
- Knowledge of local markets across Levant. Must work in a relevant Multinational with strong communication skills.
- Scientific medical background in medical or pharma is required.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages,
- Multi-tasking and deal with all relevant individuals in an organization.
- Negotiation, collaboration, cooperation, coordination, analytical, planning and scheduling skills are all essentials.
- Ability to function independently in the local environment as well as being a team player within the wider region.
- Computer literacy along with knowledge and experience of MS Excel, Word and Outlook ;
- Driving License
