Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role is knowledgeable in the ITIL & ITAM methodology of Asset & Configuration Management and is responsible for maintaining the Asset Management Database (AMDB) & Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The Asset and Configuration Analyst ensures a consistent collection and reporting of the banks IT assets using documented and proven operational process and procedures. The Asset and Configuration Analyst works as a member of The Service transition team to ensure the overall success of asset and configuration management. This person is responsible for understanding complex data relationships.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Provide support for the Service Transition Functions
- Administers the configuration management database (CMDB)
- Provide reporting support by creating custom queries
- Act as requirements analyst by determining the requirements needed to configure the environment
- Supports the change and Release processes for both CMDB and Asset Management Database
- Produce timely Key Performance Indicator figures
- Liaise internally and externally to ensure compliance, asset and configuration management standards and policies
- Establishment of structured guidelines in combination with Configuration Item (CI) information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Produce Documentations for CMDB and AMDB implementation and usage
- Collects, Logs, Validate, and maintain service asset and configurations
- Works closely with change and Release managers to plan implement and track asset and configuration schedule, with consideration to objectives and risks

Requirements

- >4 years of experience working with Change management DBs
- >5 years of Data Mining reporting and development
- Experienced and current knowledge of effective CMDB implementation and operation
- Strong understanding of service transition trends and their application
- Educated to degree level standard or equivalent (desirable)
- ITIL training / service management accreditation
- People management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, teamwork, facilitation and negotiation

- Proven ability to grasp new systems and processes
